Mabuhay!

I am both deeply humbled and distinctly honored to extend to all of you this warm greeting of welcome to the 18th Asian Australasian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (AACNS), the 17th Asian-Oceanian International Congress on Skull Base Surgery (AOICSBS) and the 21st ASEAN Congress of Neurological Surgery to be held in Manila, Philippines this June 15-18,2026 with the precongress workshops on June 13-14,2026.

We excitedly open the doors of our beautiful country to this unique triad of meetings with the general theme of "Unity in Neurosurgery: Linking Asia from Local to Global" as we gather esteemed speakers and experts together with the brightest and blossoming minds from all over the world to celebrate our shared commitment to advancing neurosurgical sciences and care across the borders.

We look forward to making this collective journey with you in our quest to be both globally knowledgeable in neurosurgical perspectives and locally immersed in our utmost dedication for our patients. Together, while bringing our diverse experiences, let us explore ways to link the latest innovations to the basic needs, exchange transformative ideas while forging lifelong friendships and networks, build bridges between individual neurosurgeons and trainees and societies and participate in hands-on experiences that will further enrich our field.

Beyond the scientific sessions, let me invite you to experience the world renowned hospitality of the Filipinos, our colorful culture and heritage and the natural beauty of the 7,641 islands of the Philippines.

Thank you for being part of this meaningful occasion. I look forward to the valuable learning, collaboration and camaraderie that await us in the days ahead. Above all, I look forward to meeting and seeing all of you!

Warmest regards,
Dr. Lynne Lourdes N. Lucena
Congress President

Hello to the speakers, delegates, and organizers of the 2026 Asia-Australasia Congress of Neurosurgical Societies! Welcome to the Philippines.

The world has been through an enormous amount of trouble lately. Only a little while back, we were struggling through a pandemic that paralyzed our lives for more than a year, and it seems that you cannot pick up a newspaper or open a newscast without some new tragedy being thrown in your face. Which is why conferences such as this one become especially valuable. For the next few days, let us sit down, learn from one another, and develop ties that will help us achieve our common goal: combatting the pain and loss caused by diseases of the nervous system.

Also, this is the Philippines. Let's have some fun.

Warmest regards,
Dr. Eric Legaspi
